Race
The Production TT was run as an enduro, with two riders sharing a bike over 600 kilometres of Isle of Man roads. It was also a Handicap race of sorts, as the 250cc bikes only had 9 laps to cover, against 10 for the 500s and the 1,000s, while results were based on scratch times. The one lap advantage was enough for the best prepared and ridden 250s to take the win overall.
