Italy had the biggest contingent, with no less than 13 riders : Arciso Artesiani, Lanfranco Baviera, Paolo Campanelli, Roberto Colombo, Romolo Ferri, Massimo Genevini, Enrico Lorenzetti, Alfredo Milani, Guido Paciocca and Emilio Spadoni who all came by plane, while Aldo Brini, Alano Montanari and Nello Pagani travelled by boat with the followings works bikes :
-500cc : Gilera Quattro (2), Gilera Saturno (4), Moto-Guzzi single (1)
-350cc : Moto-Guzzi single (2)
-250cc : Moto-Guzzi Gambalunghino (3), Moto-Guzzi "competition" (6), Parilla twin (1)
-125cc : FB-Mondial bialbero (4), FB-Mondial ohc (1), MV Agusta ohc (2), MAS "competition" (1)
Great Britain sent a full works Norton team with 350cc and 500cc bikes for Ray Amm, John Storr and Bill Beevers. Also present were Tommy Wood (500 Norton, 350 Velocette, 250 Moto-Guzzi, 125 MV Agusta), Edward Hunt (500 Norton), Spartling (500 Norton, 350 AJS) and Lindsay (500 Norton, 350 Norton).
Switzerland had four of its top riders : Benoît Musy (500 Norton, 250 Moto-Guzzi), Hans Haldemann (500 Norton, 350 Norton), Luigi Taveri (350 AJS, 125 MV Agusta) and Jost Albisser (500 Norton, 350 Norton), with M. Vitzius as their delegate.
Belgium also had four of its Continental Circus regulars : Auguste Goffin (350 Norton, 500 Norton), Léon Martin (350 Velocette, 500 Gilera Saturno), Firmin Dauwe (350 Norton, 500 Norton) and Jacques Raffeld (350 AJS, 500 Norton).
Spain’s Johnny Grace was present with a works 125 Montesa, but it is not known if he also had brought his usual 350 and 500 Nortons along. Austria was represented by Alex Mayer (125 FB-Mondial, 250 Moto-Guzzi, 500 Norton) and Ernst Merinsky (350 AJS), with F. Baumkirchen as delegate.
Both Finland and Japan were said to have also entered the series, but none of those entries seem to have materialized in the end. South American riders made up the rest of the field.
